Friendship Childcare Center

The summer before my junior year, I began working at Friendship Childcare Center. While as a caregiver, teacher and co worker, I learned so much about myself and the skills I have. While obtaining this job I was able to work well with my coworkers to solve issues, create safe educational environments and improved my communication and organizational skills.

Reliability has always been a strength of mine. I strive to have the best performance with any job or activity I am involved in. Being on time and reliable is very important to me and a way I show my fellow workers and boss I am a trustworthy employee who takes pride in any job I do.

While as an employee at Friendship Childcare Center, I was a teacher for the two and three-year-old classroom. While obtaining this job position, I not only had to privilege of working with kids, but connected closely with the employees and parents around me. Having strong communication skills allowed me to relay messages and important news to the parents. Having the responsibility of completing  information sheets that went home with the child everyday with the amount of potty breaks, diaper changes and the meals they had, allowed me to practice my organizational skills and delivery of information. Keeping track of important events that happened on a daily basis prepared me for information and documents I will have the responsibility of filling out and documenting in my future job position.
